Volat
Synopsis
Volat follows Seyfour, a ninety-four-year-old man who returns to his submerged homeland fifty years after being forced to leave due to the construction of a dam. While his family dismisses his journey as futile, Seyfour sets out alone to protect the last remaining part of his land and the grave of his father. Through his return, the film reflects on migration, loss, and the enduring bond between human identity and soil. The language of the film is Luri; a Southwestern Iranian language spoken in western Iran.
