ABENI
Synopsis
In the village of Ijero, where tradition governs every aspect of life, Abeni discovers a forbidden gift, blacksmithing, an art reserved for men and feared as a transgression against the gods. As she secretly hones her craft, her talent begins to attract attention, stirring whispers among villagers and drawing the scrutiny of powerful elders. Caught between fear and love, her mother struggles to protect her from the consequences of defying tradition. But as Abeni’s power grows, so does the conflict between personal destiny and cultural expectation, culminating in a public reckoning that will challenge the very foundation of her society. Abeni is a powerful story of courage, identity, and the cost of breaking boundaries in a world bound by tradition.
