CLOSING GALA NIGHT TO CELEBRATE AFRICAN CINEMA
News & Stories
A New Chapter for African Cinema
September 2026
- Fifteen editions in, AFRIFF remains a meeting point for African storytellers and the international film business.
- Programme notes and filmmaker stories will be published here through the season.
Founded in Lagos in 2010, AFRIFF has grown into the biggest platform on the continent where African storytellers meet the international film business.
Each edition brings filmmakers, artists and industry leaders together to encounter the work and each other — in the cinema, on the panels and long after the lights come up.
Through the season we'll be publishing filmmaker stories, programme notes and announcements from the road to AFRIFF 15. Check back here, or sign up to the newsletter to hear first.
