With 20 productions under her belt Lineo Sekeleoane attained her Bachelor in Motion Picture Medium at the South African School of Film, TV and Drama where she trained as a Line and Creative Producer and Casting Director.
She has produced numerous films including the award winning ‘Home Sweet Home’ produced for M-Net and DSTV. She also has experience in commercials, Documentaries, Music Videos and Corporate Videos. She worked as a Supervising Producer for KTV (an M-Net Youth Channel) and GO (a teen channel) before moving on to DSTV’s Channel O as their Programming Manager where her responsibilities included commissioning new programs, managing the Channels annual budget and overseeing all productions and programs. She left to pursue her life long dream to open a Production Company and Produce Dramas and other Entertainment shows.
In 2006 she produced the controversial “Mthunzi We Ntaba” for Kwa Flights of Fancy Productions, which was screened on SABC 1 and partner in Tunc Productions in the Production of SABC 1’s series “Redemption” winner of 3 SAFTA Awards in 2008 and Sabc 1’s Shakespeare mini series “Entabeni” which received 6 SAFTA nominations in 2008.
In 2009 she executive produced Sabc 1’s “Hatch” for Bonngoe Productions as well as “Boogie Woogie” a children’s dance and exercise series for DSTV’s Koowee and she produced a documentary series titled “Beyond Positive” for SABC 3. In 2010 she Directed her first short and helped develop and launch Top Gospel a Christian Channel on the new pay TV Network Top TV where she held a position as Head of Channel until her resignation in July 2011 when she left to pursue her feature film Directing career for Luju Pictures & Productions.
She is currently in Pre-production of her feature directorial debut “My Zulu Wedding.”
